Biography

Dr. Charles O. Manasseh is currently a lecturer/Researcher at Coal City University Enugu, Department of Economics. Before joining Coal City University, he previously lectured at Atlantic International University known as Legacy University Okija presently. He also worked as a project coordinator at Remif Rems Nigeria Limited, USAID MARKET II Consult. Dr. Charles Manasseh obtained an M.Sc degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2008 and a PhD in Financial Economics in 2015 as a Council for Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA) research scholar. He has actively participated in many research consultancies such as Abakaliki Capital Territory Master Plan (2009 to 2010), Centre for Entrepreneurship Development Research (CEDR) for youth empowerment facilitated by Central Bank of Nigeria, Assessment of Economic Impacts of Avian Influenza in Nigeria conducted by International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) Ibadan in 2008, Measurement and Benchmarking of Nigeria’s Digital Opportunities Index commissioned by Nigerian Communications Commission (August 2008), and Customer Satisfaction in Nigeria sponsored by Nigeria Communications commission (2016). In 2017 he worked as Senior Economist (Assist lead consultant) in a Study on the level of Competition in the Telecom Industry sponsored by Nigerian Communications Commissions/CT. WORX. Dr. Manasseh has published over fifteen papers in reputable international journals such as Thompson Reuter’s index journals, Scopus index journals, Elsevier, Snips and Schmago index journals etc. He has participated and presented many papers in international conferences.  Dr. Charles Manasseh has strong econometric, analytical and writing skills to his advantage. He is an associate member of many professional bodies such as; Econometric Society (African chapter), Development Finance Research Network, African Institute for Applied Economics (New name: African Heritage) and Partnership for Economic Policy (PEP).
